This is where my 2D shooter after modifications. The modifications are:

UI changes, the instructions tab in the main menu lacked functionality so it was set to inactive, however there is also now a victory screen that pops up after defeating the final level that lets you go back to the main menu or start again from level 1.

Aesthetic, the play area has been populated with planets to make the game more visually interesting. In addition, the music of each level is now different from each other.

Gameplay, the number of enemies to defeat in level 1 and 2 has been increased significantly. These levels also now feature spawning enemies. Level 3 has been added. Level 3 features a boss fight against the alien mothership. It is a little faster, has somewhat stronger guns, and a lot more health than regular enemies (I estimate it takes around 25 seconds of continuous fire to defeat it). 



THIS IS A SCHOOL PROJECT FOR CAS 117, I DO NOT OWN ANY ART ASSETS. I was given the assets to showcase some new design choices and demonstrate an introductory level of coding.

I really like your proposed modifications, nice work - I'm looking forward to seeing your compete product!

As a tip, when making new levels, try to make sure that they're significant and unique/different from others in some shape or form. Adding new enemy types, challenges, or obstacles can help with this!

Also, in terms of art assets, I'd highly recommend making some yourself! This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill or hone your existing skills.
